CALL FOR PROJECT

The time of Pyramids

The Ancient Future festival offers a multidisciplinary happening tinted by electronic music, visual arts and extravagant performances. At the edge of the river, the musical experience is a paradox between nature and what is built, where the past and the future confront. An independent and eco-responsible festival where landmarks are deconstructed to give way to hedonism and the unpredictable..

For its third edition, the Ancient Future festival will take place in the Old Port on September 8th and 9th, 2017. The festival will be held on the outside site of Quai de l'Horloge and on the inside site of Hangar 16 around three scenes. The programming of non-musical artists will take place at various locations on site.

The centerpiece of our poster, a pyramid, will be the masterpiece of the festival. Like a statue or a totem, it will bring participants together with an imposing architecture. Interaction between the pyramid and the participant could be possible.

Dear Montreal artistic community, we are calling on you! We are looking for a team that deploys talent and ideas to imagine, conceptualize and realize a major pyramid be exhibited at the festival. From the materials of your choice, your work will be presented as the highlight of the festival. Let your imagination go, we want to hear you!
